NOVEMBER 14, 2017


A board meeting of the Wekiva Golf Villas Homeowners’ Association was held on November 14, 2017 at the Wekiva Golf Villas Community Pool in Longwood, Florida.

John Ewseychik called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m.  Also present at the meeting were Patrice Burke, Adam Kwater, and Rebecca Warwick; a quorum was achieved.

Agenda for the evening was to finalize and adopt budget for 2018 and address any other matters as necessary and pending before the board.

Treasurer’s Report:  In 2017, $7,000 budgeted for capital improvements, of which $6,179 has been spent.  Everything else pretty much on target for 2017.  $38,286.07 in bank as of 11/12/2017. $4,000 was moved from reserves into general operating in 2017 to pay for capital improvements per the budget.

After a review of the draft budget for 2018, it is agreed by all present that the following modifications shall be made:

The line item for purchase of neighborhood watch signs and pool signs will be removed

A line item for replacement of the roof on the bathroom building at a cost of $2,000 will be added; it is agreed that 3-tab architectural shingles in black will be installed

Capital improvements for pool decking will be budgeted at $17,500. This project will encompass the pool deck and the concrete beam around the pool. The board is looking for less expensive solutions.

Adam has agreed to put up the lighting kits that came with the ceiling fans to afford lighting under the pavilion.

Lighting will remain on budget for 2018 at a cost of $200.

Rebecca moves for an approval of the budget with revisions noted above.  John seconds.  All members in favor; motion carries with revisions noted above.  Patrice will revise and email to Rebecca for distribution.

There are no other new or pending matters.
